About
MiniCache started with a simple frustration: selling second-hand Warhammer miniatures was harder than it should be. The big general marketplaces take large cuts, have no understanding of condition grades for models, and are full of listings that have nothing to do with the hobby. The dedicated hobby forums work, but offer no buyer or seller protections at all.
So I built MiniCache — a marketplace that speaks the language of the hobby. Condition grades that match how hobbyists actually think about models (Sealed, Unbuilt, Built, Painted, and more). Categories organised by game system and faction. Search and browse that actually makes sense if you collect.
The hobby community is built on generosity — people sharing knowledge, helping newcomers, and passing on collections to fund the next army. Charging sellers a percentage of every sale felt like putting a tax on that culture. Instead, buyers pay a small protection fee that funds the platform and covers disputes, and sellers keep every penny of their asking price.
Recasts — counterfeit miniatures cast from moulds taken from original models — are a genuine problem in the secondhand market. They damage the manufacturers who fund the games we love, and they damage trust between buyers and sellers. MiniCache has a strict no-recasts policy. If you see a suspected recast listed, please report it. We review every report and remove violating listings.
MiniCache launched in 2026 and is currently in an open testing phase. Features in progress include seller ratings and reviews, want-to-buy listings, and expanded game system support. If you have suggestions or feedback, I would genuinely love to hear from you.
This is a platform built for the community. If something isn't working well for you, that matters.
