About MiniCache

MiniCache is an online marketplace for buying and selling second-hand Warhammer miniatures and hobby supplies, operated at minicache.co.uk. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

References to “we”, “us”, or “MiniCache” mean the operator of this platform. References to “you” mean any registered user, whether buying or selling.

Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use MiniCache. By registering, you confirm you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement under UK law.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account or allow others to act on your behalf without disclosure. You are liable for all activity that occurs under your account.

Seller obligations

As a seller, you agree to:

  • Only list items you own and have the right to sell
  • Provide accurate descriptions and photographs that honestly represent the item's condition
  • Dispatch sold items within 3 business days and provide proof of postage on request
  • Respond to buyer messages within a reasonable time
  • Honour sales at the listed price — cancelling confirmed sales without good reason may result in account restrictions

Sellers connect a Stripe Express account to receive payouts. Stripe's own terms of service apply to that relationship. MiniCache is not responsible for Stripe account eligibility or payout disputes with Stripe directly.

Buyer obligations

As a buyer, you agree to:

  • Provide an accurate shipping address at checkout
  • Contact the seller before raising a dispute where possible
  • Raise any Buyer Protection claims within 7 days of the expected delivery date
  • Not misuse the dispute process — false or exaggerated claims may result in account suspension

Prohibited listings

The following are strictly prohibited on MiniCache:

  • Recasts and bootlegs — 3D-printed or resin-cast counterfeit miniatures that infringe on Games Workshop, Forge World, or any other manufacturer's intellectual property
  • Stolen goods — items you do not have legal title to sell
  • Hazardous materials — solvents, paints, or chemicals that cannot be legally posted under Royal Mail / carrier terms
  • Misleading listings — items intentionally described or photographed in a way designed to deceive buyers

We reserve the right to remove any listing and suspend any account that violates these rules, without prior notice. If you believe a listing is a recast or infringes IP, please report it to support@minicache.co.uk.

Fees

MiniCache charges sellers 0% in seller fees — you receive exactly the price you list. Buyers pay a 5% + 50p Buyer Protection Fee on top of the listing price at checkout. This fee funds dispute resolution and platform operations.

Full details are on the Fees & Pricing page. We reserve the right to change the fee structure with 30 days' notice to registered users.

Dispute resolution

MiniCache provides Buyer Protection to resolve disputes between buyers and sellers. The process is:

  • Buyer contacts seller directly via messages to attempt resolution
  • If unresolved, buyer contacts support within 7 days of expected delivery
  • We review evidence from both parties and make a final decision
  • Our decision is final within the platform. Neither party waives their legal rights.

MiniCache acts as an intermediary in disputes. We are not a party to the underlying contract of sale between buyer and seller.

Account suspension & termination

We may suspend or permanently terminate any account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have:

  • Violated these terms
  • Listed prohibited items
  • Engaged in fraudulent or deceptive conduct
  • Repeatedly received justified buyer complaints
  • Attempted to circumvent platform fees or processes

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Pending orders must be completed before an account can be fully closed.

Limitation of liability

MiniCache provides a platform to connect buyers and sellers. We are not the buyer or seller in any transaction and do not hold title to any goods listed.

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, MiniCache's total liability to you in connection with your use of the platform is limited to the amount of the Buyer Protection Fee paid on the transaction in question.

We are not liable for: loss of profits, indirect or consequential losses, items lost in transit (beyond Buyer Protection coverage), or the actions of other users.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from your use of MiniCache will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless you are a consumer entitled to rely on the laws of your country of habitual residence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continuing to use MiniCache after that date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
