What is the Buyer Protection Fee?
What if my item doesn't arrive?
What if the item isn't as described?
If what you receive is clearly different from the listing — wrong models, missing pieces, a worse condition than stated — you are covered under Buyer Protection. Contact the seller first, and if you cannot agree, raise a dispute with us within 7 days of delivery.
Can I return an item I no longer want?
Buyer's remorse is not covered by Buyer Protection. MiniCache is a secondhand marketplace and sales are generally final unless the item is materially not as described. Check listings carefully and message the seller with questions before purchasing.
How much does it cost to sell?
How do payouts work and how long do they take?
Funds go directly to your connected Stripe Express account when a sale is completed. Stripe's standard payout schedule applies — typically 2 business days for UK accounts after your first payout, which may take 7–14 days as Stripe verifies new accounts. You can view your payout status in your Stripe Express dashboard.
Can I sell painted or converted models?
Yes — painted and converted models are welcome. Use the condition grades honestly: "Painted" for tabletop-quality paint jobs, and make sure your photos clearly show the quality of the work. Buyers are entitled to a return if the paint quality is materially worse than shown in photos.
Can I sell 3D-printed models?
Original sculpts and prints of designs you own the rights to are permitted. Recasts, bootleg prints of Games Workshop or other manufacturers' IP, or prints of paywalled STL designs you don't have a commercial licence for are strictly prohibited and will be removed.
What happens if a buyer doesn't pay?
MiniCache uses Stripe Checkout — buyers pay at the time of purchase, so unpaid orders do not occur. A completed order means payment has been taken. If a charge is later disputed by the buyer's bank, we will work with you to provide evidence.
Is there a selling limit for new accounts?
There are no hard listing limits, but new seller accounts may have their first payouts reviewed by Stripe as part of their standard account verification process. Build your reputation with a few smaller sales first to help establish your account smoothly.
How should I ship items?
What are recasts and why are they banned?
Recasts are counterfeit miniatures — someone buys an original model, creates a mould from it, and sells copies without the original manufacturer's permission. They infringe on the intellectual property of Games Workshop and other manufacturers. MiniCache has a zero-tolerance policy: any listing suspected of containing recasts will be removed and the account may be suspended.
What condition grades mean
Listings use a 6-tier condition system: Sealed (unopened box), Unbuilt (sprue/unassembled), Built (assembled, no paint), Painted (partially or fully painted), Pro-painted (commission-quality paint work), and Damaged (clearly flawed — must be disclosed in detail). When in doubt, grade lower and be transparent in your description.
Is MiniCache only for Warhammer models?
MiniCache currently focuses on Warhammer and Warhammer-adjacent miniature games, with categories covering Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Horus Heresy, Old World, Specialist Games, and more. We also support Books & Media (rulebooks, codexes, magazines) and other miniature hobby items.
